Abu Dhabi Exhibition of the book launch the program on science and knowledge for children


Announced the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2012, organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Tourism and Culture, announced the launch of children's program for science and knowledge of events within the corner creativity in the exhibition, and as fall within the strategy aimed at targeting and harnessing the talents of children in the age group between 6 and 12 years, and by providing program meets the essential needs of children including those with special needs.

Will include the corner creativity in session 22 of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, a variety of activities meet all the needs of children, including people with special needs, and organizing workshops of specialized stretch during the show, in addition to providing an interpreter for sign language to ensure maximum utilization of the program, and promote interaction category young people with special needs with these activities and events.

This initiative seeks to support children who suffer with the problems of hearing impairment and speech, and that by giving them the opportunity to spend time with other children and participate in workshops and other activities, in addition to providing learning opportunities and private integration in the community with their peers than children.

This initiative is the result of cooperation with several government institutions, particularly the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs, and Press of blind and challenges visual, and the Abu Dhabi Autism, and Abu Dhabi for the care and rehabilitation of people with special needs.

The Creativity Corner essential part of the exhibition Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and is aimed primarily at improving the educational capabilities of children and provide them with the correct methods of learning, creativity corner includes a variety of educational activities include reading, drawing and writing.

And creativity on the corner contains several specialized sections including science, mathematics, and computer, and means of artistic expression, reading, and traffic awareness and scientific guidance for children. And participate in each of these sections of the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre and the Directorate of Traffic and Patrol Police in Abu Dhabi and educational center Silvan in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, and others.

The exhibition is witnessing a steady increase in the number of participants every year since its first session in 1986, where he participated in more than 70 publishers. The number of participating publishers to reach 875 on the 21st of 2011, and the number of titles to more than half a million titles from different languages, and the number of participating 58 countries. It also increased the total area of the exhibition to reach 21,741 square meters. The increased value of sales of the show over the previous sessions to more than AED 100 million, including various versions.
